Join Chambliss Center for Children as a Teacher Assistant in our unique early learning center, Little Scholars. This mixed-age classroom is located at Momentum, a nonprofit organization that supports single mothers pursuing a college education.

No classroom experience is required—we will provide training for the right candidate who is dependable, caring, and eager to learn.

Schedule

• Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
• Opportunity for additional hours and potential full-time employment in the future

Pay: Starts at $11 with no degree or experience, and increases with education and experience.

Location: 1152 Lincoln Park Lane, Chattanooga TN 37403

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to pass a fingerprint background check
• Experience working with children is helpful but not required
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to work collaboratively with children, families, and coworkers

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising and caring for children ages infant through 4 years
• Support daily classroom activities, play experiences, and learning opportunities
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment
• Assist with meals, diapering, toileting, and other routine care needs
• Build positive relationships with children and families
