Love working with children? We’re looking for a caring, dependable person to join our team as a Part-Time Childcare Assistant at Volunteer Community School (part of Chambliss Center for Children). This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being around children and wants to make a difference in their day. No childcare experience is required—we’re looking for someone who is patient, compassionate, dependable, and genuinely enjoys helping children learn and grow.
This is an afternoon position, Monday–Friday, with a schedule of 1:30–5:30 p.m. You’ll work alongside our classroom teachers to help care for and engage children in a safe, positive, and nurturing environment.
Location: Volunteer Community School, 506 Spears Avenue, Chattanooga TN, 37405
- Supervise and play with children
- Help keep classrooms safe, clean, and organized
- Support teachers and step in where needed
- Help children finish their day in a calm, positive way
- 18+ years old with a high school diploma or equivalent
- Able to pass a fingerprint background check
- Reliable, friendly, patient, and good with kids
- Experience working with children in a group setting preferred but not required
