Description
Do you enjoy working with young children and being part of a team? We are looking for a Teacher Assistant – Floater to provide support wherever it is needed throughout the center.
This is a great role for someone who likes variety and enjoys working with different classrooms and age groups. You will help teachers provide a safe, caring, and fun learning environment for children.
Location: Pro Re Bona Early Learnng Center, 1707 Dodds Avenue, Chattanooga, TN
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 12:00 PM – 5:30 PM (potential for full-time)
Pay: From $13/hour (no experience required); higher with experience/education
What You’ll Do
- Help cover teacher and staff breaks throughout the day.
- Provide classroom coverage when staff members are absent.
- Help in classrooms that need extra support.
- Work with children during play, learning activities, meals, and routines.
- Help keep classrooms clean, safe, and organized.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers.
What We Need
- 18+ years old with a high school diploma or equivalent
- Able to pass a fingerprint background check
- Enjoys working with young children.
- Caring, patient, and dependable.
- Works well as part of a team.
- Able to adjust to different classrooms and situations.
- Previous experience working with children in a classroom setting preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Sit, stand, walk, bend, squat, and kneel throughout the day.
- Lift and carry young children when needed.
- Participate in activities with children both indoors and outdoors.
- Maintain active supervision of children.
