Volunteer Community School is looking for an enthusiastic and committed teacher to join our Toddlers classroom (2 year-olds). In this role, you’ll help nurture young children’s social, emotional, and cognitive growth — creating a safe, supportive, and engaging environment where they can thrive.
Volunteer Community School is part of the Chambliss Center for Children network, and is located on the Northshore.

Position Details:
- Work Schedule: Monday - Friday
- Pay: From $11.00 per hour with a high school diploma and limited experience; from $13.00 per hour with a CDA; from $15 with an Associates Degree; and increasing with education and experience.

What We’re Looking For:
- At least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience working with children in a classroom setting strongly preferred.
- Able to pass a fingerprint background check.
Responsibilities:
- Stay engaged and supervise children in your care, ensuring safety and promoting active participation in all activities.
- Plan and lead activities that support children’s development in social, emotional, physical, and cognitive areas.
- Maintain an organized and supportive classroom environment.
- Build positive relationships with staff, parents, and volunteers.
- Be attentive to the health and well-being of children, responding to their needs as appropriate.
- Perform other work-related duties assigned by the Team Lead, Executive Director, or Associate Director.
