Children's Academy for Education & Learning, an early childhood education center, is looking for a full-time cook. The center serves children ages 0-5 years. The kitchen serves two meals and a snack per day. Pay starts at $11.00/hour and depends on experience.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00am-3:00pm.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner.
• Follow recipes and presentation specifications.
• Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Clean and maintain station in practicing good safety and sanitation standards.
• Assist with the cleaning and organization of kitchen and equipment.
• Adhere to all sanitation and food production code.
• Order food and products so as to adhere to prescribed menu.
• Follow all USDA requirements.
• Other duties as assigned by the site director, and may include covering breaks in classrooms.

Requirements:

• At least 18 years of age.
• Able to read and write.
• Must be able to pass a fingerprint background screen.
• Experience with food preparation and cooking required.
• Experience in a commercial kitchen strongly preferred.
• Ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently.
• Must have reliable transportation.
