Looking to make a meaningful impact in a child's life? Chambliss Center for Children is hiring part-time Teacher Assistants to support our PreK classrooms through "wrap-around" care! You'll play a vital role in working with Head Start children each afternoon after their Head Start program ends at 2:30 p.m. and provide full-day support when Hamilton County Schools are out.

Position Details:

• Schedule: Primarily Monday-Friday, 2:00-6:00 p.m. Full-day shifts available when schools are out.
• Pay: Starts at $11/hour with a High School diploma and no prior child care experience; $13/hour with a CDA. Rates increase with education and experience.

What You’ll Do:

• Assist lead teachers with all classroom activities, creating a safe, engaging environment for children.
• Supervise and actively participate in play, activities, and learning exercises, both indoors and outdoors.
• Foster a warm, welcoming atmosphere, supporting children's growth and development alongside an experienced, caring team.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Ability to pass a fingerprint background screening
