About Us:
Chambliss Center for Children is dedicated to shaping a brighter future for young people in our community. As a nonprofit organization, we provide nurturing and enriching extended early childhood education for children as young as 6 weeks of age, as well as supportive foster care placement and transitional living services for young adults aging out of foster care.

Position Summary:
The HR Intern will support the Human Resources department in a variety of administrative and project-based tasks. This role offers hands-on experience in recruitment, onboarding, compliance, and employee engagement. Ideal for students pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, this internship provides exposure to the inner workings of a mission-driven organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with applicant tracking and screening
  • Support onboarding processes, including background checks and new hire documentation
  • Help organize employee files and maintain confidential records
  • Contribute to HR projects such as handbook updates, training materials, and event planning
  • Research HR best practices and assist in policy development

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in HR, Business, or related field
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Professional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable learning new software
  • Interest in nonprofit or social service work preferred

Compensation:
This is a for-credit internship. A stipend of $500/semester may be available depending on qualifications and program requirements.
